Larry L. Martin

Mr. Martin received his law degree from Southern Methodist University, with honors, in 1986. He was admitted to the Texas bar that same year. While at Southern Methodist University, Mr. Martin was selected for the Order of Barristers, the Order of the Coif. He was also a member of the Board of Editors of Southwestern Law Journal.

After graduation from law school, Mr. Martin continued to distinguish himself. The Texas Board of Legal Specialization certified him as a specialist in Family Law in 1996. He has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2003 by Thomas Reuters as published in Texas Monthly. He is one of only approximately 125 Texas lawyers admitted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and currently serves as an Officer of the Texas Chapter of that organization. He is a Master in the Annette Stewart American Inn of Court and served two terms on the Board of that organization. He currently serves on the Board of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists – an organization whose membership is restricted to board certified family law attorneys. Mr. Martin is also listed in the “Best Lawyers in America” (2008 through 2009 editions). Mr. Martin frequently lectures at continuing legal education seminars.
