Susan Land Finnell

Ms. Finnell practices primarily in the area of estate planning and probate, including the drafting of simple and complex wills; drafting of insurance trusts, living trusts, management trusts, trusts for minors, protective trusts for the impaired, charitable trusts and grantor retained annuity trusts; creditor protection planning; estate administration; representation of estates in federal estate tax and state inheritance tax matters; and estate and trust litigation. Ms. Finnell received her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from The University of Texas in 1970, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Lambda Delta. In 1983, she received her law degree (with honors) from Southern Methodist University, where she was Order of the Coif and Notes and Comments Editor of the Southwestern Law Journal.
