
David J. Kaplan Addison, Texas
Mr. Kaplan practices in the area of commercial litigation where he concentrates on representing property owners in the areas of property tax and eminent domain law. He earned his bachelor's degree and law degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and 1987, respectively, where he was a member of Order of the Barristers and the National Mock Trial Team and served as chairman of the Board of Advocates from 1986-1987. In addition, he was Mock Trial Champion in 1986. Mr. Kaplan is a frequent lecturer on property tax issues before professional and civic groups and has been General Counsel for the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals since 1991. He served as Chairman of the State Bar of Texas Property Tax Committee in 1997 - 1998. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1987 and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Mr. Kaplan was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1962.
